Meet Molly: A True Trailblazer from Skyline Drive Kennels!

At Skyline Drive Kennels (SDK), we take immense pride in our exceptional pups, and Molly is no exception. Bred and trained right here at SDK, Molly has been honing her skills as a shed hunter since day one. But her journey doesn’t stop there – she’s been blazing trails alongside her devoted owner, Lonnie, for the past few years.

Based in Pennsylvania, Lonnie and Molly are no strangers to adventure. Every weekend, they embark on a journey from PA to IL, chasing the thrill of shed hunting in the scenic landscapes of Illinois. Their recent trip was nothing short of remarkable, capturing moments of pure joy and triumph.

Lonnie’s dedication to Molly’s training and their shared passion for shed hunting is truly inspiring. Their bond goes beyond the miles they’ve traveled and the sheds they’ve found – it’s a testament to the unbreakable connection between a handler and their faithful companion.

So here’s to Molly, a shining example of the extraordinary dogs that call SDK home, and to Lonnie, for sharing their incredible journey with us. Your adventures remind us of the endless possibilities that await when you have a loyal four-legged friend by your side. Keep on exploring, Molly and Lonnie!

Thank you for sharing your story with us, Lonnie – we can’t wait to see where your next shed-hunting expedition takes you!

There’s a special kind of magic that happens when you bring puppies to a nursing home. As they scamper through the halls, tails wagging and tongues lolling, they bring joy and light to the residents’ lives. It’s a heartwarming experience for everyone involved and one that I always look forward to sharing. Join me as I recount one of my favorite outings: when puppies visited the nursing home.

The Arrival:
As we arrived at the nursing home on a bright and sunny morning, the puppies were already excited, sensing the new environment and the people they were about to meet. I could feel their energy and anticipation as we entered the building, ready to spread some happiness.

Meeting the Residents:
The residents’ faces lit up as soon as they saw the puppies. Some eagerly reached out to pet them, while others simply watched with wide smiles. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy as the puppies made their rounds, stopping to greet each person with gentle nudges and wagging tails.

The Power of Puppies:
It’s incredible to witness the transformation that takes place when the puppies enter the room. Faces that were once solemn light up with delight, and conversations spark as people share stories about their own beloved pets. For a moment, the worries and cares of the world fade away, replaced by the simple joy of being in the presence of these furry bundles of love.

Making Memories:
For many of the residents, this visit is a highlight of their week. It’s a chance to connect with others, reminisce about happier times, and experience the unconditional love that only a puppy can provide. As I watch them interact with the puppies, I can’t help but feel grateful to be a part of such a special moment.

Bringing puppies to the nursing home is always a heartwarming experience. It’s a reminder of the power of love and companionship, and the joy that simple gestures can bring. As we say goodbye and make plans for our next visit, I know that the memories we’ve made today will be cherished by all who were lucky enough to be a part of them.

Available Puppies Ready for Adoption from Skyline Kennels!

Hey there,

Exciting news from Skyline Kennels – we still have some adorable puppies available and ready to find their forever homes! These little bundles of joy can leave on 12-9, but I’ve decided to keep them for an extra week or two to ensure they receive additional socialization.

With winter approaching and a litter of 12 pups, I want to make sure each one is equipped with the basics before they head off to their new families. They’re already litter-trained and getting the hang of going outside. Plus, they’ve been spending time in individual crates and are doing great with that.

This week, we’ll be introducing them to water for the first time, which is always an exciting milestone. Rest assured, these pups are up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and come microchipped for added peace of mind.

I can’t even begin to count the number of places these little adventurers have been! To catch a glimpse of their daily activities and antics, be sure to check out their photo and video album here

Thanks for visiting, and please consider sharing this post with your friends and family who may be looking to add a furry friend to their home. Your support means the world to us!

Training a Started Shed Puppy: A Quick Learner in Action!

Hey everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well! Today, I wanted to share an exciting video with you all. It’s a little longer, about 3 minutes, but trust me, it’s worth every second.

In this video, you’ll get to see a puppy in action as he begins to imprint to shed antler odor. It’s fascinating to witness how quickly he catches on to the training process. In the beginning, he’s a bit hesitant, trying to get the kibble instead of focusing on the task at hand. However, as the session progresses, you’ll see him realize that the real reward comes from putting his nose in the tube.

I was particularly impressed by how quickly he learns. In just his first session, he demonstrates a remarkable understanding of what I’m asking him to do. To test his comprehension, I toss some kibble to see if he’ll come back to the food or continue focusing on the tube. Spoiler alert: he’s a quick learner indeed!

Now, you may be wondering, who is this talented little pup? Well, let me tell you – he’s one of the puppies I’m currently selling as a started shed puppy. With his impressive progress and natural aptitude for shed hunting, I do not doubt that he’ll make an excellent companion for anyone looking to venture into the world of shed hunting.

If you’re interested in learning more about this little superstar or any of the other puppies I have available, feel free to reach out to me. I’d love to chat with you and help you find the perfect addition to your family.

Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more updates from Skyline Kennels!
